Our Specialist Care Services

We manage our clients’ packages with the utmost care and attention, ensuring that all of our clients are always receiving the highest standard of care. No two care packages are the same and they are all tailor made around the client’s actual needs.

Each care package is designed to fit around our client and not around us as a service provider. With the regular contact we have with our clients, any issues can be identified quickly and resolved promptly.

Our fees are fully inclusive of all our services plus the day-to-day management of packages (which are all supported by a Clinician at no additional cost).

  • One point of contact, you will be assigned a Care Manager with access to a Clinician
  • Pre-agreed visit dates arranged frequently, usually once or twice a month as required
  • Involvement in the bespoke recruitment and selection process of support staff including participating in interviews, shadow shifts and the gradual introduction to Support Workers if required
  • Bespoke in house training around specific needs including bowel and catheter management
  • Training is conducted face-to-face and tailored to the client’s requirements
  • On call service which is available for the period of contracted hours
  • Annually updated personalised care plans and risk assessments, or as clients’ needs change
  • Supportive office staff who will deal promptly with requests
  • Management of monthly rotas to suit the client
  • Care reports are produced as requested by the Case Manager

Arranging Care

Designing and arranging the best client centred complex care package that’s best suited to you
and your family can be a distressing time. Rest assured Complexus have the experience and
skills to make sure your care package meets your requirements and expectations.
Once funding eligibility is approved there are three types of Direct Care provision

Package 1

Continuing Care – funded by Integrated Care Systems*

Complexus will work with both the client and their Integrated Care Systems or Local Health Authority to ensure that the most comprehensive package of care is safely put in place. This will be designed on a bespoke basis to ensure that each clients’ clinical needs are met utilising person-centred approaches.

A breakdown of costs will be presented to the funder alongside the completion of any due diligence which Complexus may be subject to. When costs have been authorised, a bespoke recruitment process for the client will begin. Each staff member will then be placed on a tailored Complexus training programme to ensure they’re equipped to meet our clients’ specific needs.

Package 2

Direct Payment Care/ Personal Health Budget & Privately Funded

Complexus will work with each client to ensure that all of their needs are met from both a clinical and personal
perspective.

We will guide the client through the process of having care implemented at home with as much or as little involvement from the client, as they would like.

Full costs inclusive of all our services will be submitted to the client for their approval. Our person-centred, tailored approach enables clients to feel at ease with a tailor made package of care centred on them.

Testimonials

‘‘Following a spinal cord injury, I felt that I’d never return to my old vocations. I was lost & struggled to find my sense of purpose. Having a tailored package with Complexus allowed me to fully commit to my rehabilitation & make amazing progress physically & mentally. It was a massive relief to know my support team would be on hand to assist, from intense rehabilitation session to day-to-day tasks.

Had I not had the comprehensive support package from Complexus Care I wouldn’t have discovered para canoeing, kayaking then the Va’a. Last year I competed in several club national & international events, winning medals in two international competitions including a bronze medal for Great Britain in 2022. Complexus Care meant that I could achieve this amazing accomplishment.”

– SC, Spinal Cord Injury T8 Incomplete

They go to great depths to ensure that they are employing the right people for each specific job, recruiting the right team that’ll engage with my complex needs & rehabilitation. Whenever aspects of my goals or rehabilitation needs to change, Complexus responded quickly & gets the team appropriately trained to help me with my revised requirements.”
